826LA@Hammer: On The Spot Poetic Thoughts
Free collaborative workshops, presented with 826LA, combine writing with creative activities for groups of up to 20 students.
Recommended for ages 8–14.

Bringing together high-energy improvisation exercises with the art of poetry, students will learn how both writing and performance can be gateways to creative agency. Led by Christian Perfas (aka Soul Stuf), a spoken word poet and teaching artist based in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Parking: Under the museum, $8 flat rate on weekends. Cash or credit card.
