826LA@Hammer: Images + Imagination: Poetry Inspired by Collage
- This is a past program
Free collaborative workshops, presented with 826LA, combine writing with creative activities for groups of up to 20 students.
Recommended for ages 8–14.
Reservations encouraged. Visit 826la.org or call 310-915-0200.
Through the art of collage, students will learn how to combine images in their very own work of art. These collages will then serve as the inspiration for students’ own poems that reflect their unique thoughts, interests, dreams, and ideas. Led by writer, workshop facilitator, editor, and creativity coach, Kimberly Lee.
Academic Programs at the Hammer Museum are supported by the Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation and the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation. Additional support is provided by The Brotman Foundation of California, McCrea Foundation, Ellen & Teddy Schwarzman, Jay Meredith Stein & Josh Zwass, and friends of the Hammer Museum's Kids Art Museum Project (K.A.M.P.).
