Screening: "The Last Waltz"

One of the most beloved music films ever made, Martin Scorsese's documentary captures the farewell performance of the legendary group The Band—with a bevy of famous guest musicians—at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom on Thanksgiving, 1976.

Transcending the typical concert film, The Last Waltz presents an immersive experience featuring generational talent alongside The Band, including Bob Dylan, Mavis Staples, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Muddy Waters, Ringo Star, Dr. John, and many more.

(1978, dir. Martin Scorsese, color, 117 min.)
