Families gradually filtered into the Hammer Sunday morning for our August Look Together program: How to Make Recipes About Art. As the young chefs eagerly shared their favorite foods and new culinary inspired names like Fondue Sue and Chef Mozzarella Queen, it was clear that this group, although young, was far from novice when it came to cooking and creativity.

Toulouse-Lautrec: Ladies of Negotiated Affection

This study was made for the large 1894 painting “In the Salon on the Rue des Moulins,” which resides in the Lautrec museum in Albi. The study and resulting painting show a deluxe Parisian brothel in which the artist himself lived for two years.

Telescope: China | Yu Honglei

Beijing artist Yu Honglei’s work is generally derived from the everyday objects in his life, redefined through his unique vision, and presented with new identities and functions. Yu’s new project at Telescope seeks the middle ground between conception and realization of art objects.
