Colorful images of domestic settings are characteristic of Wanda Pimentel's aesthetic. She places her female characters in interiors in which the body and objects appear to be fragmented. Using a visual language akin to pop art, she never shows the objects she has painted in their entirety. Her repertoire refers to modern life and the kind of carefree and youthful universe presented in advertising. The relationship between the objects and the female bodies shown is dual: it might seem that a young woman is simply making use of the world of objects, but at the same time the female body is objectified, just another of the consumer goods seen throughout the work. The interiors take on a claustrophobic quality, and the depersonalization of the bodies within them is the crux of the critique that Pimentel formulates in this body of work.
