Inconsequential Doggereal addresses issues of time, broken narratives, politics, and creativity. Jenkins considers the changes in one's interpretations of events and issues over time and the ways in which an individual's understanding can evolve. The video does not have a true ending but rather exemplifies the progression and process of reassessment that the artist narrates throughout. Historically rooted in Dada and surrealist film, this work flashes through scenes of drama and vulnerability, as well as ones of humor and personal interaction.
