The Hammer Museum’s splendid late Rembrandt painting is on view at the Getty Museum this fall while our permanent collection galleries undergo renovation.
Our third-floor galleries are currently closed for renovation and will reopen in January 2017. Throughout fall, the rest of the museum—the lobby and courtyard level galleries, Billy Wilder Theater, courtyard, Hammer Store, and AMMO Café—will remain open and active with dozens of public programs, exhibitions, and In Real Life: 100 Days of Film and Performance.
David Lamelas’s "The Desert People," a film from 1974 that is part of the Hammer Contemporary Collection, has been on a road trip of sorts to SITElines.2016 much wider than a line, Santa Fe’s contemporary art biennial.
