Bio

Ash Rucker is a Brooklyn-based performance artist and the founder of Therapart, a nonprofit dedicated to transformative art therapy. Using her body and voice as conduits for spirit, Ash creates immersive, multi-sensory experiences that blend sound, movement, and energy to catalyze emotional release and profound transformation. Her practice is an ever-evolving exploration of the body’s wisdom, where somatic rituals, meditation, and creative expression converge to unlock deeper layers of healing.

Through Therapart, Ash works with youth impacted by trauma and the criminal justice system, guiding them through a unique art therapy method that taps into the body’s hidden stories and releases emotions that have long been trapped. Her approach, rooted in ritual and artistry, empowers individuals to reconnect with their essence and break free from the barriers that limit their potential.

Ash’s artistic journey has led her to perform at esteemed institutions like the New Museum, where she channels the transformative power of movement and sound to dissolve both physical and emotional constraints. Each performance unfolds as a sacred space, guiding both participants and audiences beyond the self into a profound state of reflection, collective unity, and transformative awakening.
