Minh H. Phan: GOOD FIRE
GOOD FIRE, created by artist and Michelin star-winning chef Minh H. Phan, is an immersive performance and installation for the exhibition Breath(e): Toward Climate and Social Justice. Each 30-minute presentation unfolds as a land acknowledgment, honoring cycles of nature through a controlled burn that invokes ancestral memory. Attendees will share fire torched mochis and poetry accompanied by musician and scholar Jason R Nguyen’s live đàn bầu (single-string zither). California gạo nếp (sho chiku bai sweet rice) provided by Robin Koda of Koda Farms.
