Family Flicks Film Series: The Muppet Movie

Sunday Feb 13, 2011 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM This is a past program

Co-presented with the UCLA Film and Television Archive

Recommended for ages 5+

The Muppets’ big-screen debut tells the story of how the troupe first met with wised-up wit and whimsy to spare. As Kermit treks cross-country from his swampy home to Hollywood, he’s joined by Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Miss Piggy, The Electric Mayhem, and the rest of the gang. (1979, 35mm, color, 94 min. Dir. James Frawley)

The Family Flicks Film Series is copresented by the UCLA Film & Television Archive. Matinee screenings for families and film buffs, featuring new and classic films from around the world.

Hammer Kids and Family Flicks are made possible, in part, through the generosity of supporters and friends of the Hammer Museum’s Kids’ Art Museum Project (K.A.M.P.), a family fundraiser. Additional support is provided by the Westwood Neighborhood Council.
