The delicate, undaunted, disconcerting power of Forrest Gander’s work springs from the view that dimensions of experience, too often neatly segregated, intersect. He will read from Mojave Ghost, which a subtle subtitle designates A Novel Poem and which unfolds from desert walks during which he discovers the reticulations of past and present, actual and recalled, physical and spiritual—xeric and eldritch. The cover’s simple image shows a great saguaro cactus casting the shadow of a human.

Ticketing: This free program is not ticketed.
Parking: Self-parking is available under the museum. Rates are $8 for the first three hours with museum validation, and $3 for each additional 20 minutes, with a $22 daily maximum. There is an $8 flat rate after 5 p.m. on weekdays, and all day on weekends.
