Eric Revis Trio

  • This is a past program

Eric Revis, bass
Joshua White, keyboard
Tina Raymond, drums

A musical chameleon equally at home in Branford Marsalis’ hard-swinging quartet as he is improvising without a net with the likes of Peter Brötzmann or Ken Vandermark, Grammy-winning bassist Eric Revis is a first-call sideperson in a staggering range of modern jazz contexts. As a composer and bandleader, Revis draws on diverse experiences to create original music that grooves, floats, and soars with irresistible energy and dynamic ensemble interplay. “The group’s music was spectacular and generous…He’s so adept at bridging the distance between camps—whether that distance is real or merely perceived—that he can seem like a diplomat or peacemaker.” (The Chicago Reader).

Please note that the galleries close at 6pm and will not be open during the concert.
