UPDATE: We regret that this program has been canceled due to illness

The Hammer’'s long-standing poetry series celebrates Poetry Month with the Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize Reading. This year’s judge is the distinguished poet Vijay Seshadri, who presents the 2022 winner, Danielle Blau. Both poets read from their work. The Hecht Prize is sponsored by Waywiser Press, whose founder and editor in chief, Philip Hoy, and senior American editor, Joseph Harrison, will share the history of this prestigious award.

Organized and hosted by poet, literary critic, and UCLA distinguished service professor Stephen Yenser. Cosponsored by the UCLA Department of English and UCLA Recreation.
