Ring Festival: The Challenges of Singing Wagner

  • to This is a past program

Wagnerian singers Linda Watson (soprano, Brünnhilde) and John Treleaven (tenor, Siegfried) discuss the joys and difficulties of singing the composer’s works and the unique technical equipment singers require to make it through an entire opera and still live to sing another day. Discussion moderated by UCLA music professor Mitchell Morris.

Public programs are made possible, in part, by a major gift from Ann and Jerry Moss.

Additional support is provided by Bronya and Andrew Galef, Good Works Foundation and Laura Donnelley, an anonymous donor, the Hammer Programs Committee, and Susan and Leonard Nimoy.
