Gabriela Ruiz

Gabriela Ruiz was born in 1991 in the San Fernando Valley. Her interdisciplinary practice explores surveillance capitalism, mass consumerism, and the intersection of technology, memory, and fantasy. Solo exhibitions include the Institute for the Humanities Gallery, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI (2023); Palm Springs Art Museum (2022); Anat Ebgi Gallery, Los Angeles (2022); LaPau Gallery, Los Angeles (2021); and the Vincent Price Art Museum, East Los Angeles College, Monterey Park, CA (2019). Ruiz was a recipient of the California Community Foundation’s Fellowship for Visual Artists (2024).
