Gift of Mrs. Fred Grunwald

Fred Grunwald's widow, Saidee, continued to give works to the collection between 1965, the year after Fred's death, and 1977, when she sold a large group of works from the estate through the San Francisco dealer Ray E. Lewis. Mrs. Grunwald donated almost 300 objects, including German Expressionist prints and large selections of prints by Josef Sattler (German, 1867–1931), June Wayne (American, 1918–2011), and Rudy Pozzatti (American, b. 1925).
