Very Be Careful

Adventure has never been a task for Very Be Careful. A Caribbean soul and a California heart have sustained two decades of ceaseless romp-downs and raucous times for L.A.’s vallenato veteranos, inciting 10s of 1000s of earthlings, and even some ETs, to boogie to the Colombian coastal beat. From the debaucherous streets of: Austin’s SXSW, Germany’s WorldCupTour ’06, L.A.'s SunsetJunctionStreetFair; to the cultural pinnacles of: Chicago’s Summer Dance Series, New York’s Central Park Summerstage, L.A.s’ Grand Performances & Levitt Pavilion, London’s Hammersmith Apollo; colossal concerts: L.A. Sports Arena Cumbia Fest, Glastonbury Music Festival & Bestival UK, Fuji Rock Festival & Asagiri Jam Japan; clubs and hubs: N.Y.’s SOBs, L.A.’s HOBs, backyard BBQs, Very Be Careful has tamed the beasts within or unleashed the ones without, helping to popularize the beauty of the 1950s-1970s sound of Colombian vallenato and cumbia.

Healing Gems

Within the dynamics of this six piece group, it’s difficult to pin point where their sounds begin as they glide and sway from genre to genre. Healing Gems reimagine music spanning from overlooked exotica, lounge, international jazz, sound chips of old video games and kitschy cinematic soundtracks; creating their melting pot of sound. Healing Gems are a peculiar and curious melody that creates nostalgic landscapes for drifters and dreamers alike. Grab a drink and enjoy the trip! Salud!

DJ Eléanora

DJ Eléanora is a genre-bending selector, known for her vibrant, globe-spanning sets. As the co-founder of La Papaya Club, a community-driven collective that throws parties for a cause, she transforms the dance floor into a space of celebration, resistance, and solidarity. La Papaya Club isn’t just a party—it’s a movement, aiming to raise funds and awareness for BIPOC and LGBTQIA organizations and build safer, more inclusive nightlife spaces. With influences from jungle soundscapes to coastal Colombian rhythms, DJ Eléanora’s sound is a celebration of diasporic culture, with a specialization in Chicha, Champeta, and Cumbia. Whether it’s a sweaty basement in Brooklyn or an open-air rooftop in Mexico City, she invites dancers into a rhythmic journey where dancing is liberation.
