826LA@Hammer: Dive into a Sea of Words

  • This is a past program

After writing their own short-form poems, students will utilize fun and creative materials to explore how adding imagery can change the meaning of their words. Finally, students will put everything together, creating a piece of artwork with their own images and words that they can proudly hang on the wall. Facilitated by Senon Williams, a visual artist and musician who currently performs with the musical group Dengue Fever.

Academic Programs at the Hammer Museum are supported by City National Bank, the Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation, and Mary Kitchen and Jonathan Orszag.
