Justin Beal & Kulapat Yantrasast on Minoru Yamasaki

  • This is a past program

Artist and writer Justin Beal and architect Kulapat Yantrasast discuss American architectural experimentation, utopianism, and architect Minoru Yamasaki. Beal’s new book, Sandfuture, covers the life and career of Yamasaki, who designed the original World Trade Center and yet remains on the margins of history despite the enormous influence of his work on US architecture and society.

Sandfuture by Justin Beal is available at the Hammer Store both in person and online.
