Flux, Spring 2022

  • This is a past program

After a two year hiatus, the Flux screening series returns to the Hammer's Billy Wilder Theater to celebrate outstanding short films and music videos from around the globe with wildly inventive filmmaker presentations and performances.

The spring program includes Gabriela Ortega’s acclaimed short film Huella from this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Phillip Youmans’ celebratory New Orleans skate party for Tank and the Bangas video No ID, the return of Saad Moosajee’s innovative animation, this time for the Renaissance-inspired Joji clip, 777.

The program features works from seven different countries, from Japan to Nigeria, and includes new music videos for Vince Staples, Rüfüs Du Sol, and Skrillex, and much more.

Special in-person guests include Gabriela Ortega, Phillip Youmans, Alessia De Gasperis, Maya Man, and Colin Read. A courtyard after-party follows with a special guest DJ set by Free.
