Constitution Happy Hour: Impeachment
In the historic second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump, the House of Representatives adopted one article of impeachment: incitement of insurrection. Is it constitutional to hold an impeachment trial for a former president? What is the standard for impeachable conduct? Learn how an impeachment trial differs from other trials, why the proceedings were not led by Chief Justice John Roberts, and what it means for congressional members to fulfill their role as “impartial jurors.”
