At the Hammer Museum
Art can transcend barriers of all kinds. Make a mini zine with artist Chynna Monforte in support of families separated at the border using powerful collage techniques inspired by artist Lari Pittman.
Art Without Walls
Copresented by the Felipe de Neve Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library
Families create art inspired by social justice issues, literature, and Hammer exhibitions. The same activities are offered at each site. The Hammer program includes storytelling in the galleries. The library program is bilingual in Spanish and English.
Recommended for children ages 5+, teens, and grownups.
All Hammer public programs are free and made possible by a major gift from an anonymous donor.
