Flux, Winter 2019
- This is a past program
The Flux screening series brings together the creative community to celebrate outstanding short films and music videos from around the globe with wildly inventive filmmaker presentations and performances.
The winter program includes Iranian director Behnam Asadolahi's astonishing Worse Than Accepting a Dream; Vince Staples's inventive Fun video directed by Calmatic in what appears to be Google Street View; Clara Aranovich's unreleased director's cut of Swing by Danny Ocean; Renee Mao's powerful short The Sound of Drowning; and David Gidali and Einat Tubi's Face Swap, a peek at the possible future of deep fakes. The evening will also include new music videos for Kaskade, Mitski, the Chemical Brothers, and much more.
Special guests include filmmakers Art Camp, Calmatic, David Gidali, Danaé Gosset, Will Kindrick, Tomas Leach, Renee Mao, Saad Moosajee, Isaac Ravishankara, and Einat Tubi. A courtyard after party follows with a special guest DJ.
