Diedrich Diederichsen: UCLA Department of Art Lecture

The work of German cultural critic Diedrich Diederichsen focuses on pop music, contemporary art, modern composition, cinema, theater, and politics. Diederichsen is currently professor of theory, practice, and communication of contemporary art at the Academy of Fine Art in Vienna. His recent publications include Körpertreffer – Zur Ästhetik der nachpopulären Künste (Adorno Lectures), Über Pop-Musik, Köln: Kiepenheuer & Witsch, and The Whole Earth: California and the Disappearance of the Outside.
