Starring acclaimed Korean actor Lee Byung Hun, The Fortress is a visually stunning historical epic based on China’s 1636 invasion of Korea. Under siege in a frozen mountain fortress, the king faces a divided court and an existential choice between the country’s honor and the people’s welfare. (2017, dir. Hwang Dong-hyuk, 140 min.)
