Diane Arbus: Portrait of a Photographer

  • This is a past program
Writer Arthur Lubow reads from his new biography, Diane Arbus: Portrait of a Photographer, which draws on interviews with the legendary photographer’s friends, lovers, and colleagues, as well as on previously unknown letters. Lubow—who has written for the New York Times Magazine, the New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Smithsonian—links the extraordinary arc of Arbus’s life to her iconic photographs in what John Berendt calls a “perceptive, engaging, and profoundly moving portrait.

A book signing with Mr. Lubow follows the program.
