Ancient Irish legends come alive with gorgeous, watercolor-like animation in this gently lyrical story of a fantastic journey across Ireland. When big brother Ben realizes that his little sister Saoirse is the last of the mythic Selkies— seals who can live as humans—it’s up to the two of them to return to the sea and rescue the magical creatures of Irish folklore. UCLA Film & Television Archive and the Hammer Museum have teamed up for a matinee screening series of new and classic family-friendly films from around the world.
