5/8/2014---Mona Simpson’s novels include My Hollywood, A Regular Guy, Off Keck Road, The Lost Father, and Anywhere But Here. Simpson is the recipient of a Guggenheim Grant, a Lila Wallace Award, the Heartland Award, and, recently, an award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Her last novel was chosen as one of the top 20 books of the year by the Atlantic Monthly, the New Yorker, and Los Angeles Magazine. On the faculty of UCLA’s English department and the organizer of the Hammer’s Some Favorite Writers series for eight years, she has just published a new novel, Casebook. Academy Award-nominated director and screenwriter David O. Russell (American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook, The Fighter) joins Simpson for a dialogue about Casebook.
