Filmed in part at the Hammer, Ruby Sparks is a new film by directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (Little Miss Sunshine) starring Paul Dano as Calvin, a young novelist who achieved phenomenal success early in his career but is now struggling with both his writing and romantic life. He makes a breakthrough when he creates a character named Ruby who serves as his muse, but things start to get weird when Calvin finds Ruby (Zoe Kazan), in the flesh, sitting on his couch.
