Printmaking Workshop

In conjunction with the Hammer’s summer exhibition Outside the Box: Edition Jacob Samuel we are offering two, one day printmaking workshops to familiarize visitors with intaglio’s most intuitive process: drypoint etching. Participants will be able to create their own etchings made by scratching marks into a plate surface and running it through the etching press. Workshops will be held at the Hammer on the gallery level terrace. Ages 13 and up, no experience necessary—beginners welcome!
Due to limited space (10 students per class) we request participants sign up for one workshop only, either Saturday, July 24, 1:00–4:00PM or Sunday, July 25, 1:00–4:00PM.
