David Lehman's books of poetry include When a Woman Loves a Man (2005), The Evening Sun (2002), and The Daily Mirror (2000). He has edited numerous collections and anthologies including The Oxford Book of American Poetry (2006), Great American Prose Poems (2003) and The Best American Erotic Poems (2008). In 1988 he initiated The Best American Poetry and has served ever since as the series editor of this prestigious annual published by Scribner. He teaches in the graduate writing program at the New School in New York City.
