Also I Like to Rock: Tokyo Police Club & Afternoons

  • This is a past program

Making a stop during their world tour are these four early-20-somethings from Ontario, Canada. Tokyo Police Club has performed at Coachella and Glastonbury, and made two appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman

Consisting of former members of the band Irving, and filling out the sound with several new members including horns and an operatic female vocal backing, Afternoons create an enormous textured landscape upon which to float their well-written songs.

ALSO I LIKE TO ROCK

Rock returns to the Hammer courtyard this July for a series of free concerts hand-picked by local independent radio powerhouse Indie 103.1. Each night features back-to-back sets by some of the best breakthrough bands. Galleries open until 9pm.

ALL HAMMER PUBLIC PROGRAMS ARE FREE

Public programs are made possible, in part, by major gifts from the Annenberg Foundation, and Ann and Jerry Moss. Additional support is provided by Laura Donnelley, Bronya and Andrew Galef, an anonymous donor, and the Hammer Programs Committee.
