This half-day workshop is part of a 3-day event for graduate students on postwar Japanese art, Rajikaru! Experimentations in Japanese Art 1950–1975, sponsored by the Getty Research Institute (GRI). The event is presented in conjunc- tion with the GRI exhibition Art, Anti-Art, Non-Art: Experimentations in the Public Sphere in Postwar Japan, 1950–1970, curated by Charles Merewether and Rika Iezumi Hiro. 

Funding for the workshop has been generously provided by the UCLA Center for Japanese Studies and the Getty Research Institute.
