1848: A Year in Caricatures investigates the pivotal year in French history. In 1848, France experienced the three-day revolution that ended the reign of King Louis Philippe and replaced him with a president, Louis-Napoléon. The exhibition features caricatures from Daumier, Cham, and other artists who had more liberties to express their opinions following the revolution.
