  • to This is a past program

Lari Pittman’s meticulously layered paintings and works on paper have been exhibited nationally and internationally. Surveys of his work include those held at Le Consortium, Dijon, France; the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and the Institute of Contemporary Art, London. His work has been included in four Whitney Biennials and Documenta X in Germany. He is professor of painting/drawing in the UCLA Department of Art. An exhibition of his work will be on view at Regen Projects in Los Angeles in November.

The UCLA Department of Art’s visiting lecture series is made possible through the generous support of the William D. Feldman Family Endowed Art Lecture Fund.

All Hammer public programs are free and made possible by a major gift from the Dream Fund at UCLA.

Generous support is also provided by Susan Bay Nimoy and Leonard Nimoy, the Simms/Mann Family Foundation, The Brotman Foundation of California, Good Works Foundation and Laura Donnelley, and all Hammer members.
