Family Flicks Film Series: Mary Poppins

  • to This is a past program

Co-presented by UCLA Film & Television Archive

Recommended for ages 6+

Jane and Michael Banks get more than they could have hoped for when their advertisement for a kind and cheerful nanny is answered by the unflappable, magical Mary Poppins. Chalk paintings come to life, toys put themselves away, and a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down in this well-loved Disney classic starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. (1964, Dir. Robert Stevenson, 35mm, color, 140 min.)

Family Flicks and Hammer Kids are made possible, in part, through the generosity of supporters and friends of the Hammer Museum’s Kids’ Art Museum Project (K.A.M.P.), a family fundraiser. Additional support is provided by the Westwood Neighborhood Council.

The Family Flicks Film Series is copresented by the UCLA Film & Television Archive. Matinee screenings for families and film buffs, featuring new and classic films from around the world.
