Dark Hand and Lamplight: Shary Boyle & Doug Paisley

Toronto-based artist Shary Boyle formed Dark Hand and Lamplight when invited on a California tour with Will Oldham in October, 2006. This collaborative performance features Boyle creating live drawings and animating pre-drawn images on an overhead projector while musician Doug Paisley sings and plays guitar. Choreographed to the lyrics and music, artworks are projected onto a screen, the wall, and other available surfaces, crafting an explosive audio-visual experience of melancholic euphoria.
