Aperture West: Bruce Davidson

  • This is a past program
Bruce Davidson is an outsider on the inside, making visible the invisible as well as the overlooked. Entering worlds like a traveling circus, a Brooklyn street gang, the Civil Rights movement from Freedom Rides to the Selma March, and a run-down block in Spanish Harlem, Davidson has demonstrated that once a photographer finds his way into a world, he can make manifest its meaning and beauty by utilizing a keen sense of compassion, commitment, and discipline.

The Aperture West Collaborative Series is generously supported by Freestyle Photographic; this lecture is also supported by Canon and the Explorers of Light program.

ALL HAMMER PUBLIC PROGRAMS ARE FREE
