Sponsorship

A sponsorship at the Hammer Museum is an opportunity to partner with an internationally recognized cultural center that has a tremendously active presence in Los Angeles. Sponsors of the Museum gain visibility among a youthful and upwardly mobile audience drawn to its cutting-edge exhibitions and free public programs. The Hammer’s strikingly designed website is also a popular destination, attracting more than 1 million visitors annually.
Opportunities exist at all levels: companies can sponsor a large- or small-scale exhibition, a season of public programs, or a special fundraising event like the Gala in the Garden. The Museum’s Development and Communications staff is committed to working with your team to shape a sponsorship plan that will meet the company’s needs and objectives.

Gallery Access
An added benefit to your special event is access to the Museum's galleries, which feature temporary exhibitions of cutting-edge contemporary art and historic works on paper as well as works on permanent display by French nineteenth-century masters, European old master paintings, and work by American artists from the eighteenth to twentieth centuries.
The Lobby
The Museum’s lobby is a grand space particularly well suited to cocktail receptions. As part of the Hammer Projects series, which gives solo shows to promising emerging artists, a different large-scale wall mural is created every few months—a dramatic backdrop for Lobby events. A Carrara marble bar functions as a serving station. Occupancy is 60 for seated events and 334 for standing events. Events must be planned to take place after the Museum’s public hours.
Lindbrook Terrace
This outdoor space on the Museum's gallery level offers a bird’s-eye view into the Museum courtyard and sweeping views of Westwood Village and the Santa Monica Mountains. Maximum occupancy is 300, making this space ideal for intimate seated events or cocktail receptions.
Gallery 6
This gallery and performance space is an ideal multi-purpose setting for lectures, conferences, performances and presentations of many stripes. Occupancy for theater-style seating is 240 or the space can accommodate 80 guests for a seated event and 300 for cocktail receptions.
