JazzPOP: Industrial Jazz Group
If ever there were a perfect band for a Fellini film, this is it. Raucous, intense, whimsical and accomplished, the Industrial Jazz Group is like a carnival for the ears. — Jazz Scene
Portland-based composer and pianist Andrew Durkin’s Industrial Jazz Group, a 15-piece explosion of winds, groove, and energy, is a collective of the best, brightest and most irreverent jazz musicians from Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Durkin’s band fearlessly traverses funk, grunge, schmaltz, retro pop, prog rock, avant-garde jazz, and pitch-perfect big band swing in his airtight arrangements and compositions.
