Health Care Reform: Government Takeover or Corporate Welfare?

After the recent historic passage of the health care bill, there is still much to discern from the fine print, and both liberals and conservatives remain opposed to it because it does either too little or too much. Joining us to examine what exactly is in the health care reform bill and what it will mean for you is Wendell Potter, former head of corporate communications at CIGNA and former chief corporate spokesman for Humana Inc. Also providing an analysis is Emily Friedman, an independent health policy and ethics analyst who was named as one of the “100 Most Powerful People in the Health Care Field” and one of the “Top 25 Women in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare.

Hammer Forum is moderated by Ian Masters, journalist, author, screenwriter, documentary filmmaker, and host of the radio program Background Briefing, Sundays at 11AM, and The Daily Briefing, Monday through Thursday at 5PM, on KPFK 90.7 FM.

ALL HAMMER PUBLIC PROGRAMS ARE FREE. Tickets are required, and are available at the Billy Wilder Theater Box Office one hour prior to start time.
