Libros Schmibros Book Club
Libros Schmibros continues its engagement at the Hammer with a monthly book club led by co-directors David Kipen and Colleen Jaurretche. Convenings focus on books related to the museum’s exhibitions and programs.
Scholar Kevin Starr’s Golden Dreams: California in an Age of Abundance, 1950–1963 is an ebullient, interdisciplinary popular history of the grandest kind.
In conjunction with the upcoming Getty initiative Pacific Standard Time Presents: Modern Architecture in L.A. and the Hammer’s exhibition The Architecture of A. Quincy Jones.
Parking is available under the museum for $3 for 3 hours.
The Hammer Museum’s Public Engagement Program is supported through a major grant from The James Irvine Foundation. Additional support is provided by Karyn Kohl, and The Shifting Foundation.
