Malek Jandali in Concert
Malek Jandali in Concert
Award-winning Syrian composer and pianist Malek Jandali is recognized as a leading figure in today’s piano world. He is the first Arab musician to arrange the oldest music notation in the world, which was featured on his 2008 album Echoes from Ugarit. Compositions on his recent album Emessa were recorded with The Russian Philharmonic Orchestra and inspired by the 2011 Syrian revolution. He has appeared on NPR, BBC, and Radio France Musique.
