Thom Mayne: Culture Now
Thom Mayne: Culture Now
*Please note new time
The Culture Now Project founded by Pritzker prize-winner and UCLA Distinguished Professor Thom Mayne, one of the world’s leading architects, with urbanist Karen Lohrmann and UCLA Architecture and Urban Design connects academic research to real-world professional practice. The Culture Now Project seeks to integrate public policy and urban studies with contemporary culture.
Mayne presents the results of the first major study of midsize American cities as they struggle to recover from the current economic crisis in The Culture Now Project (part) 1 - Midsize America (Los Angeles: UCLA Architecture and Urban Design, 2012).
A book signing will follow the talk.
