Some Favorite Writers: James Lasdun

James Lasdun has published three books of poetry, three collections of short stories, and two novels, The Horned Man and Seven Lies. His story The Siege was adapted by Bernardo Bertolucci for his film of the same title. He co-wrote the screenplay for the film Sunday, which won Best Feature and Best Screenplay awards at Sundance in 1997. His most recent book is the short story collection It’s Beginning to Hurt.

This series of readings is organized by Mona Simpson, author of My Hollywood, Anywhere But Here, and Off Keck Road. Readings are followed by discussions with Simpson.
