DESCRIPTION:A.I.R. Programs\n\nThe Hammer Museum’s Public Engagement prog
ram seeks to create a new kind of interactive museum: an artist-driven vis
itor engagement program that encourages contact among visitors\, artists\,
and Museum staff\, and activates spaces in imaginative ways. This year’
s Public Engagement Artist in Residence (A.I.R.) is Machine Project.\n\n\n
\nEnormous Microscopic Evening examines the museum from a microscopic pers

the relationships between culture and the environment. The evening will fo
cus on demonstrations and workshops about building and manipulating micros
copes. Materials and samples taken from around the museum will be examined
. Continuing the theme of microscopy\, there will be micro performances (s
hort concerts with tiny instruments) and other related events throughout t
he museum.\n\n\n\nCheck back for full schedule of events.\n\n
