DESCRIPTION:Francisco Goldman’s first novel\, The Long Night of White Chi
 ckens\, won the 1993 Sun Kaufman Prize for First Fiction and was a finalis
 t for the PEN/Faulkner Award\, and his second\, The Ordinary Seaman (1997)
 \, was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award and The Los Angeles Times Boo
 k Prize. His work has appeared in The New Yorker\, The New York Review of 
 Books\, Harper's\, and The New York Times.\n\n\n&#160\;\n\n\nNEW AMERICAN 
 WRITING\n\nA series of contemporary fiction and poetry readings organized 
 by Benjamin Weissman\, author of two books of shorts fiction\, most recent
 ly Headless\, and professor of creative writing at Art Center College of D
 esign and Otis College of Art and Design.\n\n&#160\;\n\n\nALL HAMMER PUBLI
