The Hammer Museum has launched a new initiative to build a collection of contemporary art. This new collection is led by works on paper, particularly drawings and photographs, but also includes painting, sculpture, and media arts. The emphasis of the Hammer Contemporary Collection is on works created since the 1960s, with particular focus on art of the last 10 years.
