Mindful Awareness

Start the year off mindfully by joining us in a weekly 30 minute guided mindfulness session in the Billy Wilder Theater.

Mindful Awareness is the moment-by-moment process of actively and openly observing one's physical, mental and emotional experiences. Mindfulness has scientific support as a means to reduce stress, improve attention, boost the immune system, reduce emotional reactivity, and promote a general sense of health and well-being.

The weekly "drop-in" session will be led by UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center's Director of Mindfulness Education Diana Winston and Dr. Marvin Belzer, a visiting professor from Bowling Green, a 20 year teacher/practitioner and our In-Resident Mindfulness Teacher.

This session is open to all who are interested in learning how to 'live more presently' in life.
