24/7 2010: The State of the Art in DIY Video

24/7 2010 picks up where 24/7: A DIY Video Summit left off in 2008, bringing together a feature-length program of the best from the world of do-it-yourself video. Come find the latest in online, geek, remix, and fan culture, curated to highlight the most recent trends and techniques emerging from anime music videos, political remixes, fan vids, videoblogs, and the YouTube scene. The screening starts at 7:00PM, followed by a presentation and discussion with transmedia guru Henry Jenkins, a special appearance by Matt Harding of Where the Hell is Matt? fame, and a courtyard reception with performance by audio/video mashup artist Mike Relm.

ALL HAMMER PUBLIC PROGRAMS ARE FREE. Tickets are required, and are available at the Billy Wilder Theater Box Office one hour prior to start time. Limit one ticket per person on a first come, first served basis. Hammer members receive priority seating, subject to availability. Reservations not accepted, RSVPs not required.

Parking is available under the museum for $3 after 6:00pm.

Public programs are made possible, in part, by a major gift from Ann and Jerry Moss. Additional support is provided by Bronya and Andrew Galef, Good Works Foundation and Laura Donnelley, an anonymous donor, the Hammer Programs Committee, and Susan and Leonard Nimoy.
